SUMMARY:2020 General Election: chaos\, crisis and COVID
DESCRIPTION:The 2020 General Election is an extraordinary moment in American history. Situated in the chaos of dysfunctional government\, a global pandemic\, and a faltering economy\, we find ourselves in a historical crisis. Though election and politics news have dominated the headlines all summer and into the fall\, the global pandemic has thrown into question everything from how the candidates campaign\, how the virtual conventions worked\, to even how we'll vote in November. Join us as we examine the conditions affecting likely outcomes for the November Election. Dr. McCuan will analyze the role of demographic changes\, the influence of money and other issues\, as well as how presidential campaign dynamics affect results up and down the ballot. Dr. David McCuan is Professor and Chair of Political Science at Sonoma State University. Dr. McCuan provides analysis of campaign dynamics and elections results to international\, national\, regional and local media outlets. These outlets include: The New York Times\, POLITICO\, CNN\, Time magazine\, ABC News-New York\, CNBC\, MSNBC\, National Public Radio (NPR)\, Al-Jazeera America-TV\, Huffington Post LIVE!\, and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)\, as well as analysis to KTVU-TV\, KPIX-TV\, KRON-TV\, KQED-FM\, KCBS-AM\, KSFO-AM/FM\, among other outlets.
