DESCRIPTION:PREREQUISITE: JEWELRY MOLD MAKING 2 day class: May 4th -5th 2-6pm Lost wax casting is the technique of burning wax out of a plaster mold and pouring molten metal in. You will use the waxes injected in the mold making class to build trees and turn them into metal. This class will provide further education on how to sprue parts for successful casting\, how to convert wax weights into metal weights\, and how to make plaster molds. We will do a burnout and a round of pouring metal so you will walk away with your first batch of metal components. If you are a production jeweler fabricating components\, this class will save you loads of time at the bench.
