DESCRIPTION:Come on down to OCA on Saturday\, August 29 at 8 pm for a Summer Local Talent show featuring popular young Sonoma County singer/songwriters Jacob Green and Kyle Martin and his Band. They will offer up two sets of quality “homegrown” music with energetic rhythms\, captivating melodies\, and original lyrics to dance or listen to.Jacob Green\, blues singer/songwriter and modern day Gypsy\, becomes an acoustic “OneManBluesBand” with stompbox\, harmonica and guitar/banjo/ukelele/dobro. Green has a fresh approach to old-school roots and blues lyrics that taps into hip hop\, rockabilly and country genres\, with positive riffs of change and “being green”. He self produces his music under Growth Productions. http://www.jacobgreenmusic.netSanta Rosa native Kyle Martin was raised by musician parents Nancy Pettit-Martin and the late Craig Martin\, a founding member of “Butch Whacks and the Glass Packs”. He has studied voice and piano\, and took guitar lessons from age 10 to 16 from Hoytus Randall.From garage /punk band beginnings to facilitating the Boogie Room ( a non profit space connecting community with music and agriculture)\, Kyle has always captured a rural brand of idealism in his music and lyrics.
