The Laguna Guides training program is a fun and engaging way to learn about the diverse habitats, flora, fauna and ecosystem services of the Laguna while making new friends! The program prepares volunteers to teach about the Laguna and the work of the Laguna Foundation during trail walks, talks, classes, workshops and open house events at the Laguna Environmental Center. Laguna Guides fulfill an important role in all of the Laguna Foundation public education offerings!
The next 8-session training
course will occur in May-June 2016 with Wednesday evening classes (6:00-9:00pm)
and Saturday field trips (9:00am-2:00pm). Training dates: May 18 & 21 and
June 1, 4, 8, 11, 15 & 18. Laguna Guides volunteer year-round, primarily on
evenings and weekends.
The course fee is $75. Payments can be made in installments and partial
scholarships are available. Upon completion of the training course, a minimum
commitment of 5 volunteer hours each month is requested. Guides are part of the
