Butterflies, Birds and Bees - oh my! If you are fond of these charismatic pollinators and want to see more of them in your garden then this is the event for you! Join Daily Acts and the Laguna Foundation for this informative evening, where we learn from local experts on how to build habitat in our gardens to support pollinators and other wildlife. With presenters from three amazing organizations - the Sonoma County Master Gardeners, Native Songbird Care & Conservation and the Sonoma County Beekeeper's Association there is sure to be something for everyone! The talk will be followed by a tour of the Laguna Environmental Center native plant garden that incorporates pollinator friendly and habitat-providing plants.
Suzanne Clarke, Master Gardener will focus on nectar sources and larval food that will keep our butterflies happy. Veronica Bower, Director of Native Songbird Care & Conservation will detail how to create habitat for nesting songbirds which can also be a huge help with pest problems among other garden benefits. Ellen Sherron, a member of the Sonoma County Bee Keeper's Association will cover how best to provide four-season flowering and other practices in the garden to keep are hardest working pollinators satiated.
