K-Tech Automotive Chili Cook off

Taste some chili, donate a toy to Toys for Tots December 13, 2014 (Sebastopol, CA ) K-Tech Automotive is sponsoring a Chili Cook Off to support the Toys for Tots program. The Cook Off will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the K-Tech Automotive shop in Sebastopol, 198 S. High Street. This is a free community event. Adults and children alike are invited to come by, taste some home made chili, and donate a new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots Foundation. Monetary donations are also welcome. K-Tech has turned to local businesses to volunteer their time as chili cooking teams, and to community leaders to sponsor tables and serve as judges. “There are still opportunities for both contestants and sponsors,” says event coordinator, Diana Andree. “This promises to be a fun time for everyone, and for a wonderful cause.” The Toys for Tots is a program was founded in 1947 and is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. The mission of the program is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community, and to offer a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
