Lysander Piano Trio

Redwood Arts presents The Lysander Piano Trio at 7:30 pm on March 14 in the Occidental Center for the Arts. The program will include the lovely Elegy by Josef Suk, the Trio in E Major by Haydn, the Piano Trio No. 1 by Shostakovich and Piano Trio in A minor written by Tchaikovsky in memory of a friend. The Lysander Piano Trio, a winner of the 2012 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, has been praised by the Strad for its “…incredible ensemble, passionate playing, articulate and imaginative ideas and wide palette of colours.” And in April 2014, The New York Times praised their “. . .rich sound and nuanced musicianship…” Tickets are $30.00 for general admission and $10 for unaccompanied students with ID.
