Mandala sand Painting Live Exhibition

The monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery will construct Medicine Buddha sand mandala by pouring millions of grains of colored sand into place over a period of days. The Medicine Buddha is the Buddha for health and living. There will be a community sand painting for the visitors to create. Opening Ceremony March 8 4PM Mandala Construction &Viewing March 9-14 Noon – 6PM March 15 Noon -2PM Daily Meditation & Chanting March 8-14 5:30PM-6PM The Drepung Loseling monks will lead chant and meditation sessions st the end of each day's construction, giving the public an opportunity to meditate with them.
