Prison Yoga Project at Radiate Studio
Prison Yoga Project at Radiate Studio An evening to raise awareness and funds for Prison Yoga Project James Fox, the founder of the Prison Yoga Project, is visiting Radiate Studio to share his 23 years of experience in introducing yoga and mindfulness practices to prisons worldwide. He has trained hundreds of yoga teachers, who have brought yoga programs to correctional facilities in 19 states and 12 countries, positively impacting the lives of thousands of incarcerated men, women, and youth. The Prison Yoga Project shifts the focus of prison culture from punishment to healing by addressing the root conditions behind people’s incarceration: trauma, emotional dysregulation, and disconnection. Join us for an evening in community to raise awareness for this special organization. We'll begin with a presentation on PYP and the work they are doing. Then, James will lead us through a special practice featuring a unique, Taoist-inspired practice that blends Tai Chi, Qigong, and yoga. We encourage you to come, meet James, and practice in community with us! Thursday, October 30th | 6:30 - 8:00 pm Sliding scale $35, $45, $55 | 100% of all donations go to Prison Yoga Project
